Casa de Bandini has temporarily closed and we expect to have a new home and be open for business in the near future. We are presently working on finding a new home since we lost our lease in the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Be sure to sign up on our e-mail list so we can keep you updated on our progress.

It is our goal to create our new Casa de Bandini reminiscent of our original beautiful restaurant and again make it one of San Diego's most popular Mexican restaurants. It will feature our original, authentic regional cuisine specializing in our wonderful seafood entrees and, of course, the same delicious giant margaritas.

For our numerous fans, we would like you to know that many of your favorites dishes are now being served at our new Casa de Pico restaurant in Grossmont Shopping Center in La Mesa. Many of the former staff at Casa de Bandini are waiting to serve you at Casa de Pico. This includes Lino Rodarte, former executive chef at Casa de Bandini, who is now the general manager at Casa de Pico.

Easy to get to, Casa de Pico is at 5500 Grossmont Center Drive just north of I-8 in La Mesa, just 12 minutes east of our former location in Old Town. Turn north onto Grossmont Center Drive and go three blocks. You will see Casa de Pico and its trademark colorful patio umbrellas on the left. For more information and a map, visit the Casa de Pico page.

If you prefer to dine in Old Town, we highly recommend our award-winning Mexican restaurant, Casa Guadalajara, where you can dine inside or enjoy fine patio dining under a centuries-old pepper tree. Just two blocks from the former Bandini site, Casa Guadalajara warmly welcomes you to experience exquisite, internationally acclaimed seafood dishes like Camarones Envueltos (bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp in a mango chipotle sauce) and Pescado a la Naranja (grilled sea bass in orange sauce topped with stuffed green olives) as well as traditional favorites. For more information, visit the Casa Guadalajara page.

And again, regarding Casa de Bandini, please know we are searching diligently to find a new home that is appropriate for the reputation created by our award-winning Mexican restaurant. We hope to have the new Casa de Bandini open soon.
